Welcome to Middleton Stud - the orphan foal specialists.
We are a family-run business, who pays great attention to detail and look after all horses within our care as if they were our own, BUT also plan to remain competitive with our keep and care charges. Husband and wife Colin and Wendy Middleton and their three daughters Zoe, Kirstie and Becky are all involved.
Wendy has worked within the racing and stud industry all her life, working for The National Stud as a foal sitter, New England Stud as a stud hand, fostering a foal and caring for a dummy foal, also Rossdale's Equine Hospital helping with the care of very sick foals, as well as leading trainers Sir Mark Prescott and Clive Brittain.
- We are surrounded by 50 acres of land, which comprise of 10 paddocks of varying sizes. With an additional 30 acres available for summer grazing.
- We specialise in the hand rearing of orphan foals.
- We have accommodation for 36 horses, 6 of which are foaling boxes with CCTV.
- We have a fully equipped vet's room with stocks, and we have one of the best Veterinary practices in the country at our service 24 hours a day.
- We take in mares for A.I.
- Managers live on stud.
